Babri Masjid Case: Complying SC orders, CBI Court set to frame Conspiracy charges against Advani, Joshi, Uma tomorrow

Apex Court in its April 19, 2017 order had asked the CBI court to add conspiracy charges.

Special CBI Court in Lucknow, which had started day-to-day hearing in Babri Masjid demolition case last week, has stated on Wednesday that it would frame the charges against Former Deputy PM LK Advani and the 11 other BJP and RSS leaders on May 25 and 26 for their alleged role in the conspiracy behind razing of the structure on December 6, 1992.

Charges against Mr. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharati would be framed on May 26,2017, while others charges will be framed on 25,May,2017.

All of them have been asked to be present in court when the charges would be framed against them.

While CBI court had dropped the conspiracy charged against leaders in 2001, Allahabad HC had upheld order in 2010.

CBI, however, had moved Supreme Court which in its April 19, 2017 order, asked CBI court to add conspiracy charges against accused in the trial.

Two FIRs had been lodged in the case. Second FIR named Advani, Joshi and 13 others for inciting mob through their speeches.
