Every Advocate owes the duty to safeguard the interest of the court, reads the decision
Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry has permanently removed two more advocates from its rolls for alleged misbehaviour.
Disciplinary Committee which was headed by its Chairman R Arunachalam, in its order stated that S Jimraj Milton and S Parthasarathy would no longer figure in the Bar Council’s rolls also Advocate S Mahendran has been suspended for three years from the rolls.
Committee further added that four other Advocates S Mahaveer Shivaji, D Vincent Prabakar, P Umashankar and K Kesavan from November 23, 2015 and debarred from practice before any court of law or any authority in India would be treated as punishment for misconduct committed by them
The Committee after listening to the submissions Advocates, came to the Conclusion that the charges framed against the lawyers were proved beyond the reasonable doubt and thus they are liable to be punished.
The punishment would be an example for other lawyers, who create disturbances to the court proceedings. Thus Advocates must maintain the decorum inside the Court campus.
