Supreme Court will pick case records from Trial Courts and High Courts electronically.

Imagining cases without printed pages is difficult, but Chief Justice of India JS Khehar on Wednesday declared that in 6 to 7 months this would be happening in the Apex Court.

On completion of the process there’d be no need to file bulky paper-books as petitions & other accompanying documents.

He told lawyers in the court room no.1 that the Apex Court will pick case records from the trial court & the high court electronically.

Hence forth there’ll be no need to replicate it on paper.

He said that lawyers have to file only the ground on which they’re challenging the lower court order.

  1. Why supreme court alone? Let lower court be made paperless in the first instance.
