CJI T S Thakur: My Religion is nobody else’s Business

CJI Thakur, while releasing the book titled ‘The Inner Fire, faith, choice and modern-day living in Zoroastrianism’, also said that more destruction, damage and bloodshed in this world has taken place on the account of religious beliefs.

Chief Justice of India TS Thakur stated that relationship between the Man and the God is “very personal” and should be “nobody else’s business”while he stressed on tolerance for peace in the society.

CJI Thakur further added that more lives have been lost in the religious wars than due to thepolitical ideologies.

CJI Thakur, while releasing the book titled ‘The Inner Fire, faith, choice and modern-day living in Zoroastrianism’, which has been penned down by Justice Rohinton F Nariman.

CJI Thakur said that,“What is my religion? How do I connect with my God? What kind of relationship do I share with my God. It is nobody else’s business. You can chose your relationship with your God.”.

Former Supreme Court judge Justice B N Srikrishna also explained certain verses of the Gathas (the most sacred texts of the Zoroastrian faith believed to have been composed by the Zoroaster himself) which dealt with concept of equanimity.
