Lawyer finally called the police control room to complain about delay caused by Judge.

Inspired by Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2, an Ahmedabad based lawyer had launched a sit-in protest outside Metropolitan Court room against the In-charge Judge.

Ajay Shekhawat, City-based criminal lawyer, got irritated after waiting for over three hours for Metropolitan Judge.

According to the eye witnesses,”It was holiday and court was called for hearing of an important case, all, including the accused, the police and the lawyers, were present in the court premises by 12 pm and by 3pm public too had gathered outside court room but only the In-Charge Judge was missing.”

Despite of protest judge didn’t turn up till 4pm. After which, lawyer finally called the police control room to complain about delay caused by Judge.

Interestingly, as soon as Judge was informed about turn of events, he immediately reached to the court.

But furious lawyer was now in no mood to allow anyone in Court room. It was only after the intervention of other lawyers that court proceedings could started normally.

According to Supreme Court’s E-Committee Statistics report on  the pending cases in District Courts,2016 there are more than 2.18 crore cases pending in the District courts across the country; 12 states have more than 5 lakh cases to decide.
