Post Historic step to contain Black Money, PM Modi loses over 3 lakh Twitter followers

As soon as PM Narendra Modi announced about demonetisation of ₹500 & ₹1,000 notes, he appeared to have lost over 3 lakh followers on Twitter.

According to Twitter, Modi Twitter handle has lost 3,13,312 followers a day after the announcement regarding demonetization was made was made.

PM Modi, has over twenty four million followers on the social platform, he tweets from @narendramodi.

As part of sweeping steps to check black money, Modi on November 8 announced that ₹500 & ₹1,000 currency notes will cease to be legal tender from midnight.

The PM said in a address on television that all the ₹500 & ₹1,000 denomination notes can be deposited in post offices & banks between 10th  November to 30th December .
