Bench want him to attempt to reach a mutually acceptable solution in his matrimonial dispute through negotiations.
On Monday, the Supreme Court asked tennis ace Leander Paes to exhibit sporting spirit to resolve his 3 year matrimonial dispute with his estranged partner Rhea Pillai for an out of court settlement.
SC bench of Justice Arun Mishra & Justice Amitava Roy asked Paes & Pillai, who’re present in the court, to make a new attempt for reaching a mutually acceptable solution through negotiations.
Bench had earlier directed the couple to go to the Supreme Court mediation centre to settle the dispute. The mediation proceedings, which went on for 6 days, failed & the matter was again referred to the Apex Court for adjudication.
The Apex Court bench told that “Games in the real life should also be played with same sportsmanship spirit, a sportsperson should exhibit the same spirit in real life as well.”
