Today the Apex Court asked the Chhattisgarh govt. to give advance notice of 4 weeks to social activist Nandini Sundar & others before proceeding against them in the case of the alleged murder of a tribal man in Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh.
The Supreme Court also took on record the assurance given by the state govt. that Sundar & others, who have been booked for the murder, will not be interrogated or arrested as of now.
A bench of Justice M B Lokur & Justice Adarsh Goel granted liberty to Sundar & others to approach the Court if any notice of interrogation or arrest is served.
“ASG Tushar Mehta says that Archana Prasad, Vineet Tiwari, Nandini Sundar & others won’t be interrogated or arrested . State govt. is directed to give 4 weeks advanced notice before proceeding in this case.” the bench said.
