Law should take its own course if there is a non-bailable warrant against an Accused.
Supreme Court refused to grant any relief to UP Transport Minister & Samajwadi Party leader Gayatri Prasad Prajapati in a rape case.
On Monday the Apex Court termed it to be “unfortunate” that its earlier order directing the state police to lodge FIR against Gayatri Prajapati was being given a “political color”.
Leaders from the BJP had frequently cited the case during the party’s poll campaign in UP.
BJP’s president Amit Shah, at a poll rally in Ambedkarnagar, said Gayatri Prajapati would be put behind bars when BJP comes to power in that state.
The court said that state police has to decide if he is to be arrested or not.
